Homeschool Day

Cost: $6 per student. 1 free educator per student. Additional adults are $10. No reservations required.
Learning Labs will be offered at 11:30am and 1pm for an additional cost of $4 - $6 per student (limited space available for Learning Labs).
On Wednesday, November 9, special activities and guest will include:
Science Mill Learning Lab- Shape Shifter City- Grades 3-5
Build your own shape city! Transform 2D geometric nets into 3D city masterpieces. Explore the intricacy of two dimensional shapes and how it impacts three dimensional designs including 3D printing. Additional $4, 45 minutes
GroFizz will join us with "Earth's Cycle of Life Part 1" to teach about primary producers of the food web. Students will use a microscope to see our planet's tiniest organisms and play a game to put the food web in order. (10:30am-2pm)
The Texas Stream Team from the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University will bring a watershed model to demonstrate how water flows into the aquifer. (11am-2pm)
Game Worlds will be back with Game and Level design exercise using Construct 2 and Mario Maker. Students will have the chance to build and customize the details of a level to gain an inside look into game development! Game Worlds will be joining us through the school year with new activities each month!
Dr. Brooke Ersland will return with Baylor Scott & White's interactive hand washing station.
