Get ready to gather your family and friends for a cosmic celebration like no other at the Leander Park & Ride on April 8! CapMetro is hosting a Solar Eclipse Watch Party (or “Eclipse-nic” popup picnic) on Monday, April 8, at the Leander Park & Ride. This solar eclipse event is a timely opportunity to continue emphasizing the importance of regional mobility and connectivity along the CapMetro Rail during an event where our region anticipates another influx of people and traffic.

What to Expect:
- Enjoy complimentary eclipse-safe viewing glasses.
- Port-a-potties will be available on site.
- Absolutely NO alcohol or BBQs will be allowed on site.

- Look for capacity updates on CapMetro (@CapMetroATX) / X.
- The first 250 attendees will receive complimentary lunches and picnic blankets!
- CapMetro riders in the Austin Metro will be encouraged to take the Rail to and from the event to avoid traffic congestion.
- Guests at the Park & Ride for the picnic will be asked to leave once the event ends at 2 p.m. to allow CapMetro transportation operations to continue.
