Performing Arts Classes in the Austin area (Dance, Drama, Music)
Ballet Austin’s children and family programming provides families with opportunities to experience the arts together, and helps foster a life-long appreciation for dance. We help families introduce their children to dance, music, drama, and visual arts, and provide fun and interactive experiences in the studio and at the theater.
Bring your guitar and join a guitar class! See how fun and easy it is to play the guitar! It's so easy we'll be making music from the very first day! Using the proven method of the Austin Classical Guitar curriculum and various games, will have fun while students learn all aspects about playing the guitar. Guitar classes are fun-filled music lessons with games. Classes are designed to get your children not only playing the guitar but making real music using proper rhythm and dynamics. Students will build confidence as they learn to make music in a group setting.
ImprovEd ShakespeareFall 2016: Julia Caesar
This all girl production will alter the male characters in “Julius Caesar” to female. We will be working towards performing at the Frontera Fest in Austin in mid-late January, 2017. Rehearsals will be weekly, with performances before Thanksgiving, at the beginning of December and in January.
There’s a lot happening at ImprovEd Shakespeare. To date, we have production classes for homeschool ages 8-14; a newly formed after school production class for ages 8-14; and the Girl Improved Project. Inspired by the Bard, himself. We’ve just shaken him up a bit! Click here for details!
