Registration for Summer Camps opens at 8 a.m. on March 22 for Georgetown residents and 8 a.m. on March 23 for nonresidents.

Program Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy

Registration Fees and Agreement

A parent or legal guardian must complete a Summer Camp Liability and Payment Agreement Form for each child registered.
Pay in Full: All enrollment within 7 days of the start date must pay in full at the time of registration. Registration and payment must be completed for each child separately.
Payment Plan: You may set up a payment plan for camp fees. Auto draft is required; the balance for each week will be auto drafted according to the payment schedule below. Failure to meet the payment deadline will result in participant being withdrawn from summer camp.

A 20% nonrefundable deposit is due at time of registration. The remaining balance for camp must be paid in full by the Monday one week prior to the start of camp (7 days in advance of attendance). If the balance is not paid in full by the Monday one week prior to camp, your child’s spot will be forfeited to the next child on the waitlist.

Complete refunds (including deposits) will only be given for departmental cancellations. Because of staffing requirements, fees will not be prorated for partial attendance.

Withdraw
If you would like to withdraw your child from camp, please fill out the Request to Withdraw/Transfer form at least 7 days prior to the start of camp. Refunds will not be given if requested with less than 7 days’ notice.

Camp Goodwater

Camp Goodwater is a day camp for children offering a variety of traditional and non-traditional activities. Activities include swimming at the Recreation Center, playing in the park, weekly special events and virtual field trips.

Ages: 5 (completed Kindergarten)-12

Hours: 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Fee: $155 Resident/$195 Nonresident

Beginner Volleyball Skills Camp

Beginner Volleyball Skills Camp is designed for those with no volleyball experience or those who have played in the Georgetown Recreation Center volleyball league for three seasons or less. Participants will learn and practice all the basic skills and play games that will improve the understanding and flow of the game.

Ages: 8-12

Hours: 9 a.m.-noon
Fee: $100 Resident/$125 Nonresident

Intermediate Volleyball Skills Camp

This clinic is for girls interested in playing in middle school. For this camp, you should have some experience having attended camps, clinics, played at least two seasons in the Recreation Center league or some other league. If you have played one year of middle school, this camp is for you too! This is a skills camp where you will learn basic skills in addition to defense and serve/receive to prepare you for middle school volleyball.

Track & Field Camp

Turn-Fit Academy’s Track & Field programs combine technical development, proper running mechanics, form and techniques, with safety as our major focus. Campers will have fun while learning the art of track and field, long-distance running, along with race walking! Using special equipment, athletes learn the fundamentals of body positioning, stride, stretching & cool-down. As we say here at Turn-Fit Academy, it’s not solely about how well you start, but rather, more about how strong you finish!

Athletic Skills Camp

This athletic-based camp consists of developing life skills, such as competition, teamwork, work ethic and confidence. The athletic components will encompass speed, mobility, explosion, footwork/coordination, balance, and overall functional strength.

Ages: 6-19
Dates: June 19-23
Hours:6-13 (9 a.m.-noon), 14-19 (3-6 p.m.)
Fee: $105 Resident/$140 Nonresident

Brandy Perryman Shooting Camp

BPSC is a 4-day shooting intense basketball camp which includes 32 hours of instruction, which is approximately the same amount of time as a month of practice in Middle School, or a full season of a youth league. Daily team competitions are the highlight of the week, allowing kids to be a part of a team with no pressure and to have fun. An average camper shoots over 1,000 shots over 4 days at BPSC.

Tennis Camps

Led by Head Tennis Pro Pete Polkinghorn, Summer Tennis Camp will consist of morning stroke instruction, tennis drills, court games, and match play. Afternoon activities will continue with tennis games, arts-n-crafts, and traditional camp activities. Camp program time will be 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Supervised quiet games will be offered before and after camp program time.
