Austin Museum Day 2019

The Contemporary Austin is proud to take part in the Austin Museum Partnership’s annual citywide cultural celebration on September 22, 2019. Along with over forty institutions around Austin, we offer engaging performances, art-making activities, artist demonstrations, docent-led tours, and free admission.

This year, explore our multi-artist exhibition, The Sorcerer's Burden, at both museum sites. Make a relic from the past at the Jones Center, or create a mythical beast that could live at Laguna Gloria. Take in a family-friendly performance, grab a bite to eat, play, and spend the day with us!
