Summer Camp at Hills of Milk and Honey-Middle School
Ages9-12 years Teenagers
While becoming a farmer for the week, your child will learn the importance of regenerative agriculture practices and soil health and how they are incorporated into the long-term goals at Hills of Milk and Honey.
Your child will participate in sample financial planning activities, grazing planning activities, plant and pest identification, learn about produce safety, as well at get into the kitchen and cook!
By the time the week is over, your child will have gained a greater understanding of where their food comes from and what it takes to get started as a farmer.
They will be introduced to grant and other funding opportunities, specifically offered to youth desiring to start a business in agriculture, that they may wish to explore further.
For every six farmers over age 65, there is only one farmer under age 25 to take their place.

Fees are paid in full at time of registration.
A 50% refund is available if cancellation is received by May 1, 2018. No refunds after May 1, 2018.
Please note that a signed liability waiver (that you will receive in a future email) is required as well as close-toed shoes that are able to get wet and very dirty. ;-)
Please send a towel, water bottle, and personal snack. Please apply sunscreen prior to drop-off so we can jump right into the fun!
This summer camp has a minimum booking requirement that may affect availability.
There is still plenty of time for more folks to sign up, so be sure to tell your neighbors and friends and encourage them to sign up their kiddos too!
