Discover the world of outdoor living while learning amazing new skills that will be with you for the rest of your life! Fire making, shelter building challenges and so much more is offered during this exciting introduction class for youth ages 9 – 12. Students will learn through hands-on activities, challenges and games to teach them how to stay warm, dry and focused on staying alive. Students will also learn about:
-Not getting lost
-Signaling for help
-Edible plants & trees
-Primitive tools for hunting
-Animal tracking
-Primitive Cooking
In addition to the above, students will also get a chance to learn about how they can continue their skills at home, how to challenge their family and friends, and discover more about themselves when faced with a challenging situation or the need to help someone else in the wild. This is a very popular class for kids and families alike designed to inspire a deep passion for life-long outdoor learning.
