Safe Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Elgin

The Safe Trick-or-Treat Trail includes Elgin's Historic Downtown Business District, Veterans’ Memorial Park, First Baptist Church, Elgin's Volunteer Fire Department, and the Elgin Public Library. Organizations and businesses set up tables or booths throughout Downtown and Veterans' Memorial Park to give away candy. Elgin Parks & Recreation hosts games in Veteran's Memorial Park, First Baptist Church hosts a "Trunk-or-Treat", and Elgin's Volunteer Fire Department opens the fire hall for treats and photos with the fire trucks.
