Weekly Online Group Classes for Ages 4 to 13
In this unique summer music experience, students will build musicianship skills and connect with other students in fun, interactive activities inspired by our most popular summer camps!

Each 45-minute class is tailored to the student's age and experience level.

Students 4 to 5 may also participate in private lessons, though it is not necessary for their enjoyment of summer musicianship classes. Students ages 6 to 13 should also participate in a weekly private lesson. Students age 10 to 13 should have at least two years of experience in music lessons.

Students ages 4 to 7 will:

  • Connect with world cultures by learning songs from Brazil, Ghana, and Turkey.
  • Build a foundation in rhythm.
  • Explore melody and train their ears.
  • Record their own virtual ensemble video that can be shared with family and friends (see an example from Orpheus faculty).
  • Perform in a live online recital at the end of the summer.
  • Connect with their friends through additional online classes and rehearsals that fit with anyone’s schedule.

Students ages 8 to 13 will:

  • Master the major scale and dive deep into rhythm by composing music for a short film of their choosing (see the short films our students worked on last year).
  • Build teamwork skills by creating dynamic Broadway scenes. Students can choose to sing, provide accompaniment, or compose their own song.
  • Record their own virtual ensemble video that can be shared with family and friends (see an example from Orpheus faculty).
  • Perform in a live online recital at the end of the summer.
  • Connect with their friends in additional online classes and rehearsals that fit with anyone’s schedule.
