Austin Sunshine Camps
Austin Sunshine Camps has provided free fun-filled overnight summer camp programs for the children of the greater Austin area since 1928. All summer camp programs are provided free of charge for returning campers (who attended in summer 2023) and their siblings, and for all campers who meet the free or reduced school meals income eligibility guidelines or campers who are in foster care.

Camp sessions are all 10 days and 9 nights long! This year, we will also be offering one 7-day session for campers ages 8-9. First-time campers at ASC (including siblings and returning campers) will need to have a short evaluation filled out to ensure camp readiness. By ensuring camp readiness, we can make sure all campers feel safe and excited to be at camp for the full camp session. For one session at Lake Travis, families will have the choice to put their child in the All-Gender cabin. By offering a third gender option, we’re allowing campers to be their full, authentic selves at camp. Ages 8-11 will be at Zilker Park, and ages 12-15 will be out at Lake Travis!
CAMP DATES:
- Camp Sessions in 2024 will start on Sunday afternoons and conclude on Tuesday mornings.
- Session 1: June 9-18
- Session 2: June 23 - July 2
- Session 3: July 14 - July 23
- 7-day option (only for 8 & 9 year olds): July 14-20 (concludes on Saturday morning)
- Session 4: July 28 - August 6
- All-Gender Cabin option available at Lake Travis for campers ages 12-15
