Austin Film Festival's Young Filmmakers Program
Austin Film Festival’s Summer Film Camp is back for its 24th year, happening June 1 – July 24, 2026 at the First Baptist Church of Austin, with weeklong camps that provide students with the venue, equipment, and instruction they need to create a short film or animation! Morning, afternoon, and day-long sessions are open for students ages 9-18. Young creatives learn the full process of filmmaking, getting them behind the camera and turning their ideas into real movies. Students also participate in inspirational panel discussions with visiting guests. Once camp concludes, all students have the unique opportunity to see their films on the big screen at the annual Summer Film Camp showcase!

Saplings Studio in NW Austin is the place to be in summer! Our art camps offer the perfect balance of creative play and hands-on art projects, all in an engaging, screen-free environment. Your kids will have the freedom to create whatever they can dream in our maker space, try new art forms, and just have fun being kids!

Inspired Minds Art Center
At Inspired Minds Art Center in downtown Buda, kids and teens (5–18) spend summer weeks doing what real artists do: experiment, make a mess, try again, and discover what they’re capable of. Guided by professional artist-educators, campers learn that the process (wild ideas, happy accidents, “wait…that worked!”) is the whole point. Camps fit every age and interest: clay, potter’s wheel, digital art, stained glass, drawing, painting, STEAM, Theatre, culinary arts, and more!
