Join Girlstart for free, hands-on STEM fun for the whole family at the Girlstart STEM Center in Austin, Texas. Come celebrate back to school and participate in STEM activities for all ages, discover STEM careers, and enjoy star shows in our mini-planetarium!

Kick off the school year with Girlstart’s Back to School STEM Extravaganza! Join us for free and exciting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) hands-on activities for all genders and ages at the Girlstart STEM Center in Austin, Texas. Participants will get to experiment with simple machines and force by creating a catapult, learn about sound and vibrations while constructing a device that mimics a swarm of bees, launch rockets with a chemical reaction, and more!
