It’s festival time in Burton, Texas! The Burton Cotton Gin Festival is Saturday, April 22nd. Celebrate the history 1914 Burton Farmers Gin at the 28th Annual festival. A full day of family fun from 10am till 6pm…and, it’s all free! Enjoy the main street parade at 10am…Stay for contests, food and craft booths, folk life demonstrations, a children’s barnyard… and more. Tour the oldest cotton gin in America and watch the actual ginning and baling of cotton at 3pm. Do not miss the tours of the old Wehring Shoe & Leather Shop starting at Noon! The Tractor pull starts at 1pm with a kiddie tractor pull at 4. Enjoy live entertainment by the Shiner Hobo Band… the Hilltop Ramblers and the Dujka Brothers! 6:00 p.m. -- doors open at Burton Community Center
6:30 p.m. -- All you can eat Shrimp served

Starts off with Main Street Parade and includes the Children's Bicycle Parade... Family activities and contests (bubble gum blowing, pie eating, seed pulling), Food Booths, Craft Booths, Children's Barnyard , Antique Tractor Show and Pull, Tours of historic 1914 Burton Farmers Gin, Tours of Wehring Shoe Shop and Cotton Warehouse, Folk Life Demonstrations, and Antique Engine Exhibits!
