Kiss first day jitters good-bye! At Camp Kindergarten, brand new kindergarteners are invited to a preview of what to expect at school!
With 17 years of combined early-elementary teaching experience, Mrs. Ashley and Mrs. Valerie will engage your little learner in a high-energy, literacy-rich environment as we practice classroom procedures, build on phonemic awareness, lay the foundation for reading comprehension, and extend our writing skills.
For parents, there will be pre- and post-camp conferences to assess areas of strength as well as areas needing growth, along with parent conferences via email. Parents can expect to gain tips on how to better prepare their learner, and Campers can expect to have fun and feel better about their upcoming school experience!
Activities included read-alouds, small group guided reading and guided writing instruction, phonemic awareness builders, daily litearcy stations, songs, and movement.
