Champion Reader: 1-1 Summer Academic Enrichment

Become a reading champion this summer! Keep getting stronger with your reading and comprehension skills. This course is built for our young readers in grades K-5 to become stronger readers and build on grade-level comprehension skills.

Students will have the opportunity to work 1-1 with an experienced, certified Elementary teacher. This course is for our young readers who would like to build their reading, writing and comprehension skills up to the 5th Grade Level. Our readers will review their reading skills and learn techniques needed to read more complex words that are in Grade 1-3 vocabulary list. For our advanced readers, iImportant comprehension skills (Compare/Contrast, Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning) that involve breaking down the information and answering questions will be taught in this program. A skill that is relevant to answering word questions across all subjects!
