Kids and families will make and take home their own artifacts in this art workshop. Each workshop features a short talk followed by hands-on art making. Ideal for families with children ages six and up, this experience is about 40 minutes in length.

Museum members may make advance reservations by calling 512-936-4649. The program is first-come, first-served, and space is limited. Pick up a boarding pass (free with Museum admission) when you arrive.

7/24-FANTASTIC FOSSILS-Rocks tell the story of Texas before humans were around. Learn about the ancient animals that once called Texas home and make your own fossil model to take home.

7/31- PIONEER GAMES-Find out what games were most popular with children in the 19th century, and make your own game to take home and play.

8/7- BISON HIDE PAINTING-Discover how groups like the Comanche told stories and make bison hide drawings to take home.

8/14- STORYTELLING THROUGH ART-Join special guests Smudge Studios to explore storytelling through art, and design your own comic book hero.

8/21- LA BELLEARTIFACTS-Archaeologists uncovered almost two million artifacts on the ship La Belle. Learn about some of the most notable and make your own versions of some of the shipwreck's most famous artifacts.
