Family Campout 2021

Early Packet Pickup – Thursday, September 16th from 8am-5pm at Parks and Recreation Main Office (301 W. Bagdad, Suite 250). Participants will be able to pickup their packets at the event.
What to bring
You will need to provide all of your own camping equipment. We recommend bringing:
- Tent (participants are responsible for setup & take down of tents)
- Sleeping bags
- Flashlight
- Reusable water bottle (water coolers will be available to fill bottles)
- Insect repellent
- Snacks and drinks (No alcohol or glass containers)
- A chair or blanket for campfire and movie
No pets allowed. No electricity available. No shower facilities. Personal campfires are not allowed.

4:30-8:30am: Rock Climbing
5-8pm: Austin Reptile Show
5:30-7:30pm: Dinner by Cojo Catering *Must have wristband
6:30-9:30pm: Tent Contest Voting
7-8:30pm: Hay Rides
7-7:30pm: Sunset Yoga
7:40-8:10pm: Family Yoga
8-9pm: Campfire & S’mores *Must have wristband
8:30-10:30pm: Movie
11:30pm: Good Night All & Lights Out
Saturday, September 18th
6:30-9am: Pancake & Sausage Breakfast
7:30am Equipment Pickup Begins
This event will be held rain or shine unless extremely dangerous conditions exist. No refunds will be given.
Kona Ice will be onsite Friday evening selling shaved ice ($3-$5) and a coffee vendor will be onsite Saturday morning selling coffee and various hot & cold beverages ($2-$7).
Tent Decorating Contest
There will be a tent decorating contest Friday evening so bring your most creative stuff to ‘spruce’ up your tent. Prizes will be awarded to the most creatively decorated tents (1st-3rd place).

Registration for the campout is required. Registration fee will increase to $15 on September 18. Each registered participant will receive two meals (Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast, vegetarian option available if requested by 9/11), s’mores and a t-shirt. Participants are responsible providing all of their own camping equipment, as well as setup and take down of tents.
