Let's have a cotton-picking good time as we learn about cotton in the early 1900s and today!
It's cotton-pickin' time!
Come down to the Sauer-Beckmann Farm and get hands-on experience picking our heirloom cotton. Journey through the steps of cotton: from picking, to spinning into yarn, dying different colors, and then knitting. See what cotton was used for back in the day and what we use cotton for now. We'll also talk about why cotton was so important for the folks who lived in this area at the turn of the century and during WWI.
