When it comes to outdoor skills, there is nothing hotter than fire making! During this exciting hands-on class, students will have fun being challenged to create their own fires with a wide variety of modern methods. Experienced outdoor educators will work closely with students to make sure safety is used at all times during the day. Students will also explore areas of: -Matches & lighters -Magnifying glasses -Ferrocerium strikers -Tinder & kindling -Building safe fire structures -Properly extinguishing fires In addition to the above, students will also get a chance to see how primitive fires are made by professional survival instructors who have made 1000’s of fires in the wild. Our goal is to give you the parent the confidence needed to allow your child to safely and effectively light a fire in any situation and environment.
