All Spring Break camps are designed for AGES 6-14. Artist are divided into classes based upon smaller age groups. Project difficulty varies according to age. Projects are based on the descriptions, but may vary slightly depending on each art teacher. All artist’s should bring a snack. FULL DAY artists should bring a lunch.

Pay-Per Session Spring Break Camp

Portraits

 

Monday, March 11     9:00am -12:00pm

Are you intrigued with faces and facial expressions? You'll work from photography to gain a new perspective on anatomy as you learn to draw dynamic facial features. The Cordovan Artists will "open your eyes" to you the principles of realism and portraiture. You’ll come away with the tools to create marvelous figurative artwork of your own.

Torn Paper Collage

 

Monday, March 11     1:00pm - 4:00pm

Who would have thought torn paper could be so fun! Join us for an exciting "hands on" ART experience. Using specialty papers filled with color and texture, you'll create a collage masterpiece. In this camp you'll learn the principles of design as you put your creative juices to work.

Watercolor

 

Tuesday, March 12     9:00am - 12:00pm

Do you enjoy working with aqueous media? We'll show you how you can push and pull paint using water and your brush. Our Cordovan Artists will show you push-and-pull techniques, how to blend a perfect wash, and we will teach you a few traditional and modern techniques as you create a beautiful watercolor painting!

Anything Goes

 

Tuesday, March 12     1:00pm - 4:00pm

If you want to experience a touch of everything, or if you are just plain indecisive, then this is the perfect ART camp for you! You’ll get to create a beautiful masterpiece using all kinds of different art media including watercolors, graphite, acrylics, markers, and we’ll even throw in the kitchen sink. This is a very popular camp when enough is never quite enough.

Print Making

 

Wednesday, March 13     9:00am - 12:00pm

Are you looking for an "out of the box" art experience this Spring Break? If you like using your imagination, getting a little messy, and working with your hands--try printmaking! You'll make create your very own personalized prints. Now, that's something you can put a stamp of approval on!

Canvas Art

 

Wednesday, March 13     1:00pm - 4:00pm

Spring Break is here and we are ready for some creative fun! You'll have a blast working with acrylic paint on a canvas. In this step-by-step painting class we will show you exactly how to create a beautiful painting, and we encourage you to take a few chances of your own by allowing you the creative freedom to add your own personal flare.

3-D Art

 

Thursday, March 14     9:00am - 12:00pm

The title says it all. You'll have your hands-on fun as you create, shape, mold, and form incredible art creations! You'll be guided by a professional artist who will help you design and build beautiful 3-D artwork using found objects. If you aren't getting messy, you are obviously not enjoying yourself enough!

Oil Pastel

 

Thursday, March 14     1:00pm - 4:00pm

Are you good at sketching and drawing? It's time to take your skills to a new level. It's time to take a chance on a new medium. Come and enjoy the bright colors and rich pigments of oil pastels. You'll learn to blend colors as you create a realistic oil pastel painting of your own.

Friday, March 15     9:00am - 12:00pm

Join us in a journey with acrylics this Spring Break. Using one of the most versatile art mediums you'll gain more confidence using a paintbrush to tell your visual story. We'll show you some tricks on how to take your paintings to the next level and adding final touches to your own masterpiece.

Mixed Media

 

Friday, March 15     1:00pm - 4:00pm

This camp is for art lovers everywhere! If you want to experiment with lots of art mediums all at once,...or if you just can't decide which medium to try this Spring Break, then try them ALL! We will show you how to use a variety of mediums together in the same painting to make a piece that is visually stunning.
