H-E-B Free First Sunday: Back to School

Get ready to go back to school with free admission and fun family activities.

Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during H-E-B Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase and tell the history of artifacts from around the state.
Activities:
- Hop onboard one of Austin ISD's new electric school buses
- Get information about school registration with Austin Independent School District
- 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Enjoy a back to school storytime and craft with Austin Public Library
- Activate your brain with a fun Thinking Cap craft with UT Children's Research Center
- Join our friends at Girlstart for interactive STEM demos and hands-on activities for kids of all ages
- Get your bike in gear for the school year with bike repair demonstrations with All Things Lowrider
- Take your picture with the Austin Community College Riverbat mascot and learn about college programs, degrees, certificates, GED, ESL, ESOL, and the Free Tuition program. High school students can also learn about Dual Credit and Early College opportunities.
