Homeschool Day: Dinosaurs

Event Details
Enjoy free admission all day and explore the T. rex: The Ultimate Predator exhibit and the Texas History Galleries. Participate in hands-on activity stations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn about the intersection of dinosaurs and Texas history.
Museum admission is free for homeschool families and RSVPs are not required. Discounted school group rates for films in the IMAX® Theatre and Texas Spirit Theater are available from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; film tickets may be purchased in advance online and at the Museum on Homeschool Day.
Families who prefer low-sensory environments are encouraged to attend Sensory Hour at the Museum from 9 to 10 a.m.! Please contact Education@TheStoryofTexas.com to register.

- Discover the similarities between birds and dinosaurs by exploring how they ate
- Dig up fossils using your best paleontologist skills in a mock dig activity
- Unearth Arctic dinosaur fossils encased in ice
- Examine projectile points from different eras of Texas history
- Sort different types of dinosaur feathers
- Based on a fossil, design a dinosaur that might match it
