A rare and very special concert at Pioneer Farms Austin. You are invited to step back in time and experience Texas history first-hand. This performance will take place in the Jourdan family’s original homesite, a beautifully restored & historic Texian cabin from the mid 1800s. Come hear the music of America's most popular song writers of the period played on period-correct instruments, several of which are actually from the 19th century. Performers, Tom Berghan and Thom McNeil, share a genuine appreciation for songs from the 19th century with colorful stories, humor and a wealth of knowledge regarding their origin and history.
Pioneer Farms is a 90-acre living history museum depicting life in 1800s Texas, with six restored historic homesites and a village. Pioneer Farms is a City of Austin Landmark, a designated Austin Heritage Tourism Site, an official Heritage Travel Destination of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a TimeTravelers site and a Texas Historical Commission/Hill Country Heritage site.
Show free with general admission. GA to Pioneer Farms: Adults $8, Youth (3-17) $6, seniors (65 and over) $6, children 2 and under are free. Admission for groups of 20 or more is $5 each.
