The Johnson Center for Child Health and Development is a non-profit organization that offers a variety of services to children with special needs, including clinical, nutritional, and support services. The mission of The Johnson Center is to advance the understanding of childhood development through clinical care, research, and education. The Junior Series consists of three, free events hosted throughout the summer. The main goal of each event is to promote inclusion for children with special needs within their community. All abilities are welcome and encouraged at these events. Along with inclusion, these events provide fun and eductional activities for the kids to particpate in. Each event has a theme that centers around lessons the children will learn about. Our first event is Junior Scientist followed by Junior Chef and Junior Heroes. There will be booths set up at every event that has a different activity to participate in as well as snacks, water, and coffee available.
