An Expedition of Music & Culture from Around the World
Send your child on a hands-on expedition of diverse musics & cultures this summer! Join us for our kids world music camps, where we'll be playing instruments, singing songs, and learning about culture from countries such as India, Ghana, Brazil, Indonesia, Cuba, and many more. Best of all, friends and families can join in on the fun on Fridays of each camp week, when the campers themselves will present a live world music performance!
No prior music experience is necessary! All instruments and music-related materials will be provided.
CAMP INFO: Multiple dates and locations to choose from, with a new musical and cultural focus each week. For camps at the Headwaters location, we will be exploring the countries of Brazil and Cuba (June 11–15) and Ghana and Togo (June 25–29). For camps at the Paragon Prep location, we will be exploring the countries of India and Indonesia (July 9–13), Turkey and Egypt (July 23–27), and Puerto Rico and Peru (July 30–Aug 3). Camps are open to children ages 5–12.
LOCATIONS: June 11-29 at Headwaters School, 807 Rio Grande St, Austin; July 9-Aug 3 at Paragon Prep, 2001 W Koenig Ln, Austin.
HOURS: Regular camp hours run Monday through Friday 9a to 4:30p. Early dropoff (starting at 8:00a) and late pickup (4:30–5:30p) are available for an additional $50 fee. Parents and families are invited to attend a live world music performance by the campers at 3:30p on Fridays of each camp week.
FEES: Each one-week camp costs $350 per child (sibling discounts available). Early dropoff and late pickup are available for an additional $50 fee per child.
