Kyle Founders' Parade
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Viewing the Parade:
The best locations to view the Kyle Founders' Parade are on either side of Center Street between Gregg-Clarke Park and Mary Kyle Hartson Park. To help keep everyone safe, the City asks attendees to remain on sidewalks or grassy areas along Center Street and to avoid entering the roadway while the parade is in progress.
After Celebration:
Following the parade, the community is invited to gather at the gazebo on the corner of South Main Street for the City's birthday celebration, which will include birthday cupcakes.
Detour & Parade Route:
The parade route will begin at Gregg-Clarke Park and travel along Center Street, ending at Front Street near City Square. Center Street from Ramirez Street to just past Front Street will be closed to traffic during the parade. Traffic will be detoured using N. Front Street, Blanco Street, and Veterans Drive. Road closures will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will reopen as soon as the parade concludes.
Float Contest:
All are welcome to participate in the 2026 Founders' Parade Float Contest. Participants are encouraged to decorate their floats to showcase their interpretation and representation of Kyle while keeping all displays family-friendly. The top two entries will be recognized following the parade. Parade participant registration: https://kylerec.recdesk.com/Community/Program/Detail?programId=809.
