Join us at the African American Cultural Heritage Facility for a Short Film on Becoming Frederick Douglass (54 minutes), refreshments and Frederick Douglass DIY Craft and Card Making is a fun way to get crafty and put a smile on someone’s face! Drop by the African American Heritage Cultural Center to learn about the life of Frederick Douglass and to release your creativity and be inspired to make a variety of Valentines Cards for all ages!!
Frederick Douglass selected February 14 to celebrate his birthday the same day as Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is celebrated as a day of expressing appreciation between families, partners, and friends. People exchange Valentine’s Day cards, gifts, and spend time together.
