Now more than ever, communities are in urgent need of accessible mental health support. MeadowFest proudly benefits two vital local nonprofits: SIMS Foundation, which provides mental health and substance use recovery services for Austin’s music community and Out Youth, which supports LGBTQIA+ youth with affirming services and resources. After covering event expenses, 100% of proceeds will go directly to these organizations.

MeadowFest was created in loving memory of Meadow Goodman, a 15-year-old Anderson High School student and aspiring musician who lost her life to mental illness on August 12, 2023. The daughter of local musician Greg Goodman, Meadow was a vibrant, creative force— deeply artistic, and passionate about music and justice. Her family has since turned their grief into action by launching both MeadowFest and the Meadow E. Goodman Foundation for Mental Health Awareness, dedicated to reducing the stigma around mental health and preventing suicide in young people.
