Michael Martin Murphey’s Cowboy Christmas
*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 12/05/2025
For over 20 years, iconic musician Michael Martin Murphey has celebrated the spirit of the original Cowboy Christmas Ball, inspired by the long-standing tradition in Anson, Texas, where the event has been held annually since 1934. Captivated by the intergenerational dancing and deep-rooted customs, Murphey modeled his own Cowboy Christmas Ball show after the Anson celebration, bringing it to prestigious venues across the country. Featuring traditional holiday songs, classic Western music, and dances like the waltz and Virginia Reel, the show blends festive cheer with cultural heritage. Accompanied by his Rio Grande Band, Murphey delivers a heartwarming and nostalgic experience that honors faith, family, and timeless Christmas values.
