Join us as we host a fall-themed day of fun games, crafts, exhibits, and activities to celebrate the state insect of Texas, the Monarch Butterfly! Monarch Butterflies are valuable pollinators, with their migration spanning the entire continent. It takes multiple generations to make the round-trip journey from Canada, to Mexico, and back. Not all monarchs make the journey due to many factors. Each year Fischer Park celebrates the monarch butterfly as the state insect of Texas, while also educating people about what we can do in our very own backyard to help them survive as a species. Join us as we host a fall-themed day of fun games, crafts, exhibits, and activities to celebrate the state insect of Texas, the Monarch Butterfly! This event is free and suitable for all ages.
