Northwest Youth Summer Camp

Things we will discover and explore are “Not your average job” inspired by the TV show Dirty Jobs; “Not your average food” which is inspired by the TV show Bizarre Foods; and “Not your average sport” where we talk about extreme sports such as skydiving, luging, mountain biking, base jumping.

This summer at Northwest Recreation Center, we'll have tons of games, sports and crafts all summer long! With ten theme weeks that span the summer, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Every week we'll have activities that fit our theme, with several special events planned throughout the summer. Also, each week we will leave Northwest to swim at local City of Austin pools and attend field trips. Between our staff’s experience and all the fun we have planned, our awesome summer program should satisfy both parents and children! Participants should bring two healthy snacks, a lunch, water, closed-toe shoes, and appropriate clothing. **Online and Onsite Registration begins March 5 at 10am. 

Parents/Guardians may enroll their child/children in camp by paying a $20 deposit for each week they want their child to attend camp. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the program start date. If the balance is not received by 5:00p on the due date, the child’s space and the $20 deposit* will automatically be forfeited and customers on the waiting list will be contacted. *Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. The program fee is refunded in full only if the class is canceled by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department.
