The Nutcracker Auditions

Ballet at Balance is excited to announce that we will be putting on a production of the christmas classic, The Nutcracker! The Nutcracker will showcase on Saturday, December 12th, at 5:30pm, at the Life Austin Outdoor Amphitheater.

The Nutcracker will be done in place of the spring recital, allowing dancers to focus solely on technique in the spring, before placements in May. Ballet classes that are recital-based will be labeled with "recital" or “Nutcracker”, indicating the class will be performing in our Nutcracker performance in December.
PRINCIPAL/SOLOIST ROLES
Dancers L3 and up are invited to audition for Principal/Soloist Roles for our production of The Nutcracker, on August 28th, from 5-7:30pm, at Balance Dance Studios. There are 8 principal/soloist roles to be cast. Dancers do not need to be en pointe to audition.

Dancers who are cast in Principal/Soloist roles will be expected to enroll in the ballet rehearsal class on Thursdays from 4-5pm. Dancers must be available for choreo weekend, on September 18-19th, to set their solos.
