Snipe Hunt

Join us for our 6th annual Snipe Hunt at Lockhart State Park! In this program, “snipes” (decorated Easter eggs) will be hidden throughout the park. Snipe eyes reflect the light of your flashlight, so join us after dark for the hunt! We will have beginner and advanced hunting areas, so this program is suitable for families and kids of all ages. Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Prepare: Hunters should bring a snipe carrying container (bag or basket) and flashlight. A limited number of flashlights will be available to borrow at sign up on a first come first served basis. We recommend you wear weather appropriate clothing (layers), sturdy shoes, bug-repellent, and bring water. You may also bring a blacklight for use in the challenge area. Leave weapons and pets at home. No registration required.
