The healing and sustaining power of music. Works by artists who wrote music in order to mend their own broken spirits: Arvo Pärt, Sergei Rachmaninov, Morten Lauridsen, Antonín Dvorák, and Hildegard von Bingen. Featuring violinist Patrice Calixte, cellist Annie Jacobs-Perkins, and pianist Michelle Schumann. Taking place January 19 and 20.
Austin Chamber Music Center’s Friday Intimate Concerts are an up-close-and-personal setting for chamber music, taking place at KMFA. Tickets include complimentary drinks and light bites served at a post-concert reception with the artists. A second performance will take place at the First Unitarian Church on that Saturday.
