The Sunday Morning Math Circle will be in room 5.104 of Robert Lee Moore Hall on the campus of UT on Sunday March 24, 12-2pm. The event is absolutely free and will feature a talk by Tom Gannon, a PhD student at the University of Texas, who will lead students in a game which will teach them what math researchers study.
The specific details of the talk are: A lot of times it can seem like all of math is solved. In reality, there is a lot more math that we don't know than there is math we know. In this talk, I'll give a bunch of examples of math questions that we don't know the answer to, and talk about why we care about them. It's going to be awesome.
