Texas Ranger Day 2024

The Burton Heritage Society hosts the thirteenth annual Texas Ranger Day in historic Burton, Texas at the Burton Railroad Depot, 507 N Railroad Street, on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from noon to 5pm. Celebrate Burton’s history with an afternoon of activities including tasty food at the Annie Maud Avis Memorial Chili and Bean cook-off, demonstrations by the Legends of the Texas Rangers and McNelly's Rangers, folklife demonstrations including blacksmithing and chuckwagon cooking, kids activities, mule driven buggy rides, vendors and tours of the historic Railroad Depot, as well as the Burton Farmers Cotton Gin (10am & 2pm). Also enjoy dj music thanks to the Kountry Chick. Proceeds will restore our second historic site, the Mt. Zion Historic Chapel.
