Bamboo Central highlights bamboo news and events in central USA. The Bamboo Festival concept was conceived by the late Herb Hillery, Texas Bamboo Society driving force and co-founder. The festival serves as the annual fund raising event for the Texas Bamboo Society. Proceeds are used to foster interest in bamboo, provide research, information and support for bamboo artists and to bring new varieties to the multi-state region represented by the Texas Bamboo Society.
