Intro to Linocut Teen Intensive

Whether you're a beginner or have some printmaking experience, this hands-on session will guide you through the entire process of creating striking, one-of-a-kind prints.
In this camp, you will:
● Learn the Basics: Discover the essentials of linocut printing, including the tools and materials needed to get started. We'll cover safety tips, proper handling of carving tools, and techniques for preparing your linoleum block.
● Design Your Print: Use provided templates or sketch your own design on your linoleum block. Our instructor will offer guidance on how to translate your ideas into a successful print-ready image.
● Carve with Confidence: Gain practical experience as you carve your linoleum block. We’ll walk you through different carving techniques to achieve various textures and effects, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident in your carving.
● Print Your Design: Learn how to apply ink to your block and print your design onto paper. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with different inks and papers to see how they affect the final outcome.
● Take Home Your Creation: At the end of the camp, you’ll leave with your own hand-carved linoleum blocks and sets of prints, ready to be proudly displayed or shared with friends and family.
