Sky Candy | Kids Out and About Austin

Sky Candy

Sky Candy is East Austin's own aerial arts studio, featuring classes, parties, camps, workshops, shows, and more for kids and adults of all ages, abilities and aspirations.

Our aerial classes are designed to meet your child where they are in their physical ability and emotional maturity. We have two intro level classes which teach basic skills on either Aerial Silks and Sling or Trapeze and Lyra, in addition to other ground-based skills such as tumbling and juggling. These intro level classes are meant to be taken multiple times and sometimes even for multiple years as children learn to develop their motor skills and comfort in a class environment. These intro classes are:

  • Silks and Hammock 1 for Youth
  • Trapeze and Lyra 1 for Youth

For children who have successfully completed the curriculum in Lvl 1 classes and are deemed emotionally ready, we have further classes for more in-depth exploration. These classes are:

  • Silks and Hammock 2 for Youth
  • Trapeze and Lyra 2 for Youth

We also have a class for teens to explore all four of our major apparatuses at once, with other students their own age, called Aerials for Teens. Parents whose children or teens already have previous aerial or related physical experience may book a private assessment with a teacher to see if placement in a more advanced class may be more suitable for their skill level. Interested children or teens may also book private lessons with teachers to work on specific skills or to get more practice in outside of class.
