Texas Youth and Government is a statewide YMCA program that empowers middle and high school students to experience democracy firsthand. Through hands-on learning in model government, students take on roles such as legislators, judges, attorneys, lobbyists, and journalists to build leadership skills, civic understanding, and community awareness. The program cultivates youth voice, civic responsibility, and future changemakers across Texas.
