Girlstart

Girlstart’s mission is to empower girls through STEM. We envision a future where all who identify as girls believe they have the potential to change their world through STEM. We are a national women-led organization, offering year-round out-of-school STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programming for girls in grades 4-8 in Texas, California, Massachusetts, and other locations across the country. Founded in 1997, Girlstart is one of the longest-running programs devoted to empowering girls in STEM. Our comprehensive programs are designed to engage, increase confidence, and introduce STEM careers to girls who have been historically marginalized by providing meaningful, hands-on STEM programming through after school, summer camps, and other community events.

Camp Invention: National

Energize your kid’s creativity and confidence with our new Camp Invention® program, Recharge! Campers in grades K-6 will collaborate with friends in hands-on, open-ended STEM challenges. They’ll take apart a microphone to explore its inner workings, build and test a device to launch rubber ducks, and design morphing vehicles for the Super Road Rally! UT Austin Summer STEM Camps

UTeach Outreach at UT Austin offers a variety of programs that inspire and engage 3rd-12th graders with inquiry-based, hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) content. All camps are held on campus at UT Austin and allow students to explore the 40 acres, tour research labs, visit with engineers, swim at Gregory Gym, and more! Camps include the UT PREP Summer STEM Pathway as well as Chemistry, Research in Life Sciences, and Space Camp. We can't wait to learn with you this summer!
