The University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Science (UTCS) is ranked as a top-ten computer science department nationally and is the only top-ten computer science department within 1,000 miles of Austin, TX. The department offers summer camps to high school students.

The University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Science offers three very distinct summer camps for high school students.
The camps offer a unique hands on experience in learning computer science.

First Bytes Summer Camp

June 3 - 9, 2018

First Bytes Summer Camp is a free, one-week residential camp program for high school girls. It is designed to dispel myths about computer science and intrigue young women with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving.  You must be a Texas resident to apply.

Applications Accepted: Friday, January 26 - Wednesday, March 23, 2018
Notifications of acceptance will be sent on Friday, April 13, 2018

Code Longhorn

June 10 - 16, 2018

Code Longhorn is a free, one-week residential camp program for high school underrepresented populations. It is designed to dispel myths about computer science, intrigue students with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving.  The camp includes team-building activities, educational sessions, and recreation.  You must be a Texas resident to apply.

UTCS Robotics Camp

July 22 - 28, 2018

UTCS Robotics Camp is a one-week residential camp program for high school students in 9-12 grades.  It is designed to immerse students in the world of robotics and computer science and excite them about the potential and power of computing. The camp provides a chance for students to interact with faculty and industry partners and an opportunity to meet with admissions and learn about applying to UT.
